Why this exists

Most creator utilities want a login, a subscription, or an upload of your footage to someone else's server. These don't. Each tool is a single page that runs entirely on your device β€” fast to open, private by default, and free to use.

The idea is simple: the small, repetitive jobs around making a video β€” reading a script to camera, trimming a clip, cutting captions, sizing a thumbnail, picking colors, tightening a title β€” shouldn't each need a separate app, a sign-up, or a monthly fee. Creator Tools puts them in one place, and everything happens locally in your browser so your work stays yours.

Frequently asked questions

Is Creator Tools really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account and no trial. A free resource from Consense, built as an ongoing experiment in practical browser tools.

Do my files or videos get uploaded anywhere?

No. The scripts, images, audio, and video you use are processed entirely inside your browser on your own device. There is no server that receives your media.

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

Neither. There are no accounts or extensions to install. Some tools download processing libraries or models. Open a tool and start using it β€” bookmark the ones you use most.

Why does the Auto-Captions tool need the internet the first time?

Transcription uses an open-source speech model (Whisper). It downloads the library and model when needed. Browser caching may reduce later downloads, but offline availability is not guaranteed. Your audio is transcribed locally and never sent anywhere.

Will these work on my phone?

Most do β€” the teleprompter, writing tools, color tools, and QR generator work well on mobile. The heavier WebAssembly tools (trimming, GIFs, transcription) run best on a desktop browser.

Can I use the results in my commercial videos?

Yes. Whatever you create β€” captions, thumbnails, trimmed clips, palettes, QR codes β€” is yours to use however you like, including in monetized work.
