The short version: Creator Tools runs entirely in your web browser. We have no accounts and no backend that stores your work. The files, scripts, and media you use with these tools are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us.
Who we are
Creator Tools is a free collection of browser-based utilities for video creators, operated by Christian Amato. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the site at consense.io/creator-tools/.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run our own analytics or tracking. We do not collect your name, email, or the contents of the files and text you work with.
- Your content stays local. When you paste a script, drop in an image, audio, or video file, or generate captions or a QR code, all of that is handled inside your browser. It is not transmitted to our servers — we don't have servers that receive it.
- Local storage on your device. Some tools save your recent input to your browser's localStorage so it's still there when you come back (for example, your teleprompter script, estimator text, or QR content). This data lives only on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.
Third-party resources
A few tools load code or models from third-party providers so they can run on your device:
- Auto-Captions and Subtitle Burner (transcription). The first time you use it, your browser downloads a speech-recognition model (hosted by Hugging Face) and a transcriber library (from the jsDelivr CDN), may cache them to reduce later downloads; offline use is not guaranteed. These are one-way downloads to your browser — your audio is transcribed locally and is not sent to Hugging Face, jsDelivr, or us.
- Hosting. The site is served by Netlify, which, like most web hosts, may process standard server request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. See Netlify's own privacy policy for details.
Advertising and external previews
This version does not include advertising scripts or tracking cookies. If you enter an external image URL in a preview tool, your browser requests that image from its host. That host receives normal request information. Use local files when you do not want to contact an external image host.
Children's privacy
These tools are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Because your content never leaves your device, you're always in control: clearing your browser's site data removes anything saved locally, and you can block or clear cookies through your browser at any time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above.
